Sci-Tech Daresbury has struck a series of new partnerships to enhance the support available for the 120 SMEs on the science and innovation campus.
Professional services firm Grant Thornton, tech giant IBM, intellectual property services provider Marks & Clerk, business consultancy RTC North, solicitors Slater Heelis and the University of Liverpool have been named Gold Partners for 2017 and 2018.
The arrangement will see selected firms offering high-level strategic support for companies operating in areas such as scientific research, legal services, intellectual property, financial and tax management, cloud solutions and corporate finance and funding.
John Downes, managing director of developer Langtree and member of the Sci-Tech Daresbury joint venture board, said of the partnerships: "The high-growth SMEs we have here require access to very specific, high level expertise and technical facilities.
"Sci-Tech Daresbury’s Gold Partner scheme addresses these needs in areas such as commercialisation, finance and taxation, IP management, corporate governance and securing funding.”
He continued: "We are delighted to have the six on board, a number of which have consistently supported this programme over several years. We’re confident that their varied areas of expertise and contacts will prove hugely valuable to the SMEs on site.”
