New business support project for Cheshire businesses

Cheshire West and Chester Council launch a new Business Support Project aimed at SME businesses across the Cheshire West area.

The project is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund, supports businesses through a range of activities including:


• Workshops covering a variety of topic areas to support and grow your business
• One-to-one business support from specialist advisers and industry experts
• Access to the new BREEAM Excellent (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) workspace

Activities within the project include creative new ways to do business, alongside ways to save money and use time more effectively.
Businesses can also discover funding and grant opportunities, with effective tools and support.

Cllr Brian Clarke, Cheshire West and Chester Council’s Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Infrastructure said:

"The Council is delighted to be providing this fully funded programme of workshops, personalised business support and high quality workspaces to help our local businesses develop and grow.”

"At our launch event we are looking forward to explaining more about the programme and business support on offer.”

Andy Seddon, ERDF Project Manager said:

"This Cheshire West and Chester Council project is part funded by ERDF (European Regional Development Fund). Through this project we are delighted to be able to provide new BREEAM excellent workspace in Northwich, Winsford and Chester as well as an engagement and support programme, which will deliver direct provision of or referral to targeted business advice, assistance, events and networking to help realise a business’s growth ambitions.”

Following a successful launch event on 30th January 2018, Cheshire West and Chester Council hosted a further launch event at the Mercure Abbots Well Hotel, Chester on the 20th February 2018.

The workshop programmes begin on the 27th February 2018 with a GDPR workshop.
