PJ Livesey targets spring completion at Alderley Park

Date added: 12/01/2018

PJ Livesey is aiming to hand over the first properties at its Historic Quarter development at Alderley Park in Cheshire by spring this year.

The developer’s in-house construction team is converting original buildings on the site into 12 homes, set around a cobbled courtyard. There will also be three new-build properties, while a barn is being converted into two homes.

Further phases of the project include a new-build apartment block, designed by architect Feilden Clegg Bradley, which was granted planning permission in September last year. The apartment block will house 22 apartments, and PJ Livesey also plans to build 17 mews houses at the site.

PJ Livesey director Georgina Livesey said: "The properties are some of the few remaining buildings from the original family estate and it is incredibly rewarding to see them being brought back to life.

"Each property is individual, and combined with the setting in 400 acres of parkland we believe it will be one of the most desirable places to live in the North West. Unsurprisingly we have had a huge number of people registering their interest.”

Gascoigne Halman is acting as agent for the homes.

The former AstraZeneca campus in Cheshire will be fully redeveloped as part of a £160m masterplan by the site’s owners, Bruntwood and Manchester Science Partnerships. This includes up to 275 homes, sports and leisure facilities, a gastropub, hotel, and a farm shop.
