Redundancy Support for Businesses
Cheshire West and Chester Council provide responsive and sensitive support at point of need to businesses facing issues related to redundancy or downsizing.
Our Redundancy Action Support Team (RAST) offers redundancy advice and guidance services to employers addressing redundancy issues in Cheshire West & Chester. The wider team comprises professional, private and public sector organisations, whose aim is to increase awareness of the advice available and broker the right support for your business.
Jobcentre Plus
Jobcentre Plus offers a range of services for employers. You
can advertise your vacancies, offer work experience or work trials, get support
from local specialists and get involved in mentoring schemes to expand your
business network.

Upskilling Workforces Helping Businesses Grow
If you struggle to recruit people with the right skills to grow your business, we can help you do things differently.
The Skills Support for the Workforce Programme is a free service, created to help small to medium-sized employers turn their business growth plans into reality by upskilling their existing workforce. We work with employers to identify their skills gaps and recommend bespoke training plans which will give their workforce they skills they need to grow the business. And the best bit – we even deliver the training for free.
We’re working with Local Enterprise Partnerships to deliver this support in several areas across the UK.
