Challenger bank and building firm among new companies at Warrington’s The Base

Date added: 16/10/2017

Five businesses have struck deals to move into The Base, Warrington’s office hub for advanced manufacturing and engineering companies.

Business and IT services provider Meritec, recruiter Swan IT, financial planner Simple Solutions, building firm Olive Construction and challenger bank Redwood have together signed up for 4,000 sq ft at the scheme.

The Base, located on Dallam Lane, comprises 50,000 sq ft and is managed by commercial property firm Langtree on behalf of Warrington & Co.

Langtree group property director Jayne Furnival said: "Our tenants tell us that the building’s locational advantages were key factors in their choice.

"They like its proximity to Warrington Central station and the A49 as it widens the pool of labour they can draw on as they grow.”

Langtree confirmed that negotiations are now underway with a further four potential occupiers.

Adam Gardner, of Meritec, commented: "In the tech sector collaboration is critical so being surrounded by your peers is vital.

"We’ve only been here a few weeks but can already feel the vibrant atmosphere at The Base which makes collaboration and ultimately progress happen. We’re absolutely delighted to be here.”
