Two Cheshire entrepreneurs have launched a new luxury travel venture and created 15 new jobs.
JustResorts in Alderley Edge has been founded by Gerry and Vikki Ashton.
Gerry Ashton was a founding partner and shareholder of Eurocall which was sold to United Utilities in a £50m deal in 2004 and later invested alongside his wife Vikki in Pavillion, which was sold to Hasgrove in 2007 for £10m.
The new venture focuses on five-star resorts and launches with 50 locations across Europe on its website.
Gerry Ashton said: "Vikki and I have been in the very fortunate position of travelling to the world’s best resorts as discerning consumers, travelling both with and without our young children.
"We understand the needs of our target market, and the challenges of family travel, as well as knowing the individual resorts that we are listing inside out.
"We are to work with a handful of the very best five-star resorts in Europe rather than swamping the market with all properties available in a given destination. Research shows us that there is real opportunity for JustResorts to plug a gap in the market not currently filled."
