On the nearby Gateway development, trade tools supplier Toolstation has taken a unit of 3,750 sq ft on a 10-year lease.

The fully refurbished unit offers frontage onto the main route through the Crewe Gates Industrial Estate.

Lastly, manufacturer Northern Polymers has acquired two units totalling 4,234 sq ft on Quakers Coppice. According to Legat Owen, the business has been seeking new space in Crewe for a number of years.

Matthew Pochin, director at Legat Owen, said that will the deal hattrick was undoubtedly "good news” for Crewe, it underlined the deficit of space available for prospective SME occupiers.

He explained: "All these lettings are further good news for the town and reflect the strength of rental and freehold pricing, but also exacerbate the problem of good quality stock drying up in the market place."
