Mini-Cam acquires second premises

Date added: 13/05/2016

Private equity-backed pipeline inspection specialist Mini-Cam, which is headquartered in Warrington, has acquired a second premises to support its continued international growth.

Mini-Cam has taken 6,500 sq ft at Kirkstead Way in Golborne, enabling it to scale up production and respond to increased demand for its products from overseas markets, notably the US and Germany.

Mini-Cam's custom vehicle fit-out department will relocate to the new site. This will provide capacity for increased vehicle conversions, a showroom for new products enabling the business to showcase its full product range, and scope for the future expansion of its manufacturing department.

Nigel Wilson, managing director of Mini-Cam, said: "These new facilities allow us to increase our capabilities in key areas that align with our current and future growth plans. The additional space not only enables us to expand our capacity, to support current growth, it also provides us with dedicated facilities to host customer demonstrations and other activities.

"Our team is excited about the growth we are experiencing and this move represents a commitment to continue to build on the success our team has accomplished."

Private equity firm LDC backed the management buyout of Mini-Cam in July 2015.

Chris Wright, investment director at LDC and a non-executive director of Mini-Cam, said: "Mini-Cam is experiencing strong growth, both in the UK and internationally, which is being fuelled by the successful development of new products.

"Nigel and his team continue to lead the pipeline inspection market internationally and the business' strong portfolio of new products is set to continue to support further growth over the coming years."

Mini-Cam is a designer, manufacturer and supplier of pipeline inspection systems that principally serves the clean water and wastewater utilities market.
