The cream of the North West's technology sector is being urged to enter the prestigious Northern Tech Awards.
The awards recognise the top 50 fastest growing technology companies in the north and Insider is proud to be the media partner.
Judges for the 2015 event include: former Tesco chief executive Sir Terry Leahy; Adam Balon, founder of Innocent Drinks; David Rasche, founder of SSP; Peter Read, general partner of Google Ventures; Steve Purdham, founder of SurfControl and we7; serial entrepreneur Sherry Coutu; Charles Sharland, chairman and co-founder of AppSense; Chris Allen, founder of LateRooms; and David Rowan, editor of WIRED.
The awards are owned and run by GP Bullhound, the international technology investment banking group, and the closing date for entries is 27 February. The evening itself will take place in Leeds at Aspire, on 26 March.
Hugh Campbell, managing partner at GP Bullhound, said: "We have been looking forward to bringing the recognition that is deserved to the technology industry in the north. There is a real spirit of innovation in technology clusters around the region and, as a technology investment bank, we hope to add real value and insight to help these high-growth companies prosper."
The top 50 companies will be ranked by revenue growth over the last three years. From the top 50 the judges will also select five companies worthy of special judges' awards. Smaller technology companies can apply to be part of an exclusive group selected as the ‘Rising Stars’ of the northern technology industry.
