Based in Tockwith, bespoke kitchen manufacturer and installer Chantry Kitchens was founded in 1993 and has two showrooms located in Harrogate and Tockwith.

Following a lack of orders and cashflow problems, all 18 staff, including two directors, were made redundant prior to joint administrators Julian Pitts and Nick Reed of Begbies Traynor being appointed on 30 January.

They have now completed a sale of the Harrogate showroom at Coppice Gate and the company's forward orders to Trukitchen in Wilmslow.

Joint administrator Julian Pitts said: "Unfortunately, the business ran into problems when it failed to generate sufficient orders going forward and encountered cashflow difficulties.

"We are pleased to have been able to complete a sale for some of the company's assets, securing a better return for creditors and ensuring the survival of part of the business in order that customer orders can be satisfied."

Squire Patton Boggs led the deal while Forbes Solicitors advised Trukitchen.

Laura Crawford, partner at Squire Patton Boggs, said. "We were very pleased to get the deal away so swiftly, for which much credit must go to the sterling work of my colleague Jenny Wright."

Pauline Rigby, partner at Forbes Solicitors, added: "We are pleased to see Trukitchen moving forward and expanding in line with its plans. Acquisitive growth was the best strategy at this stage and Harrogate is a great move in terms of location."
